|
Regulation
of twisting is obtained by appropriately charging the spring placed inside
the machine. A silencer, placed on the handle, diminishes the noise of the
outlet air.
It is normally supplied with a squared hole bush for normal coupling to
expander's mandrels
It
may be supplied with autocentering bush for cylindrical type mandrels.
TUBE EXPANDERS TYPE “BN”
Normal
series with adjustable thrustblock catch
The
tube expanders BN type have the thrustblock catch rotating on rollers and
adjustable to regulate the expansion depth within the limits permitted
by the threaded part of the cage.
This type of expander, starting from size 6, is also applied in 1 - 2 - 3
types where the lenght of the threaded par4 with respect to the BN type, is
increased respectively of 100 200 - 300 mm.
For
example: expander size 201BN:
expansion mm. 15 17, expanding depth regulation from 15 to 30 mm.;
expander
type 120/BN:
expansion mm. 15 - 17, expanding depth regulation from 15 to 100 mm.;
expander
type 220/BN:
expansion mm. 15 - 17, expanding depth regulation from 15 to 200 mm.;
expander
type 320/BN:
expansion mm. 15 - 17, expanding depth regulation from 15 to 300 mm.
The
expanders 1 - 2 - 3 type
are used for depth expanding or multi-round expanding tube plate of notable
thickness.
IMPORTANT:
in multi-round expanding, for a perfect execution, it is important to
advance (or to back) the thrustblock catch in order to have overlapping
between two successive expansions.
It
is usual among constructors to call first and second plate respectively the inlet
side and outlet side of a tube nackage.
On the first plate (inlet side) the tubes overhang about 2 - 3 mm.
while on the second plate (outlet side) the expanded tubes
overhanging varies according to the cut tolerance of the tubes themselves
and to the lengthening due the expanding.
As a consequence of what said above the support bush of the
thrustblock catch of these expanders is of 3 types:
N1
– flat bush
for support on tube ends (normally for tubes on the edge of plates)
N2
- bush with 2 mm. shallow cavity
in order to have a uniform overhang of the tubes on the first plate
N3
- bush with prolonged shallow cavity
to accomodate the overhanging tubes of the second plate

with you any problem dealing with particular needs of expanding, by building
the adequate expanders.

SPECIAL LUBRIFICANT FOR EXPANDING
During
the operation of expanding because of moving parts (mandrels and rolls) and
of tubes deformation, friction and heat are released.
Decreasing
friction and heat, means increasing duration of material and use less power.
From
experiments carried out by our customers we f see the choise between two
products "PM1" and "PM2” which are best in our specific
conditions.
"PM2" HYDROSOLUBLE TYPE
This
is liquid and available in 1 and 3 litres versions. It is used pure or
diluted with water according to difficulty o conditions of expanders
The main feature of this lubrifier is that of being easily eliminated from
inside tubes by simple water washing.
